Why WordPress and WooCommerce, not Shopify?
Shopify can be a good solution for some stores, especially when you want a quick start and a simple management system. For many businesses in Romania, however, WooCommerce offers more control, more flexible costs, and better integration with local payment, courier, and invoicing tools.
: Zero platform cost
WooCommerce runs on WordPress and has no monthly platform subscription. You pay for hosting, domain, and possibly premium licenses, but you don’t have a fixed cost just for the right to sell online.
: Data control
The store, orders, products, and database remain on your infrastructure. You have more control over content, data, and how the store can be expanded over time.
: Local integrations
WooCommerce connects to local payment processors, couriers, and invoicing tools in most markets, which hosted platforms often do not support.
: The ecosystem
WooCommerce has a large ecosystem of plugins, themes, and developers. If you later need advanced filters, coupons, subscriptions, a marketplace, B2B, or ERP integration, there are solutions that can be adapted.
WooCommerce is not the right choice for every project. A store with thousands of products, complex B2B flows, or advanced logistics may require a separate technical analysis. That’s why we discuss the project first and tell you clearly whether WooCommerce is suitable for your online store.
Integrations included in the price
An online store is not just design. Payments, shipping, and invoicing have to be tested before launch. We set up the providers your market uses. Below are integrations we have already built.

We configure one or more payment processors, depending on what your store needs, with no extra cost per processor.
Netopia & EuPlatesc

Stripe
International card
International card payments, fast checkout, Apple Pay and Google Pay enabled if you want.
Included in the package
PayPal

For segments that prefer not to enter card details directly at checkout.

If you already have a preferred courier, we discuss it at the start. We can also set up local pickup or your own delivery, if it fits your sales model.

How does the project work?
The process is built so the store has logic before design. We don’t start with empty pages and then try to fit products in; we start from the catalog, categories, texts, images, payment methods, delivery, and how the customer needs to buy.
We work remotely, from Iași, Romania, with clients at home and abroad. Communication is via email, phone, and Google Meet, and documents can be signed digitally. Each stage is approved before we move on.
-
01 Stage 1
Brief and Product Catalog
You complete a brief with information about your business, products, categories, delivery methods, payment options, taxes and any specific requirements. We define what the online store needs to include and which materials are required before the project begins.
-
02 Stage 2
Store Structure
We organize the product categories, main pages, purchasing journey and product-page structure. The goal is to help visitors find the right products quickly and complete their orders without unnecessary steps.
-
03 Stage 3
Product Content and Images
We work with your existing product descriptions, photographs and information or prepare them separately when this is included in the project. The content is organized before the design stage so the store has a clear, consistent structure.
-
04 Stage 4
Custom Design
We create the design around your brand, products, images and store structure. Two rounds of revisions are included for adjustments to the layout, colors, fonts and overall product presentation.
-
05 Stage 5
WooCommerce Development and Setup
We build the store in WordPress with WooCommerce and configure the main pages, initial products, payment gateways, shipping methods, tax settings, forms, legal requirements and responsive layouts.
-
06 Stage 6
Checkout Testing and Quality Assurance
We test the complete purchasing process, including adding products to the basket, checkout, email notifications, payment methods, shipping options, shipping-label generation and order management.
-
07 Stage 7
Launch and Training
We publish the online store and provide a 30–60 minute training session. We show you how to add products, update prices, manage orders and edit basic content in WordPress and WooCommerce.
Total: up to 21 business days for a standard online store, from receiving the brief, the required materials, and the deposit.
The timeline may vary if you have many products, incomplete content, additional functionality, or special integrations. The total period also depends on how quickly we receive your feedback for the stages sent for approval.
Frequently Asked Questions
WooCommerce does not impose a fixed product limit. After launch, you can add as many products as needed from the WordPress dashboard. For catalogs containing thousands of products or many variations, performance will also depend on the hosting infrastructure, database configuration and plugins used. We discuss the appropriate hosting setup before starting a large online store.
Yes. WooCommerce supports downloadable and digital products. Recurring subscriptions can also be added using dedicated extensions. Any premium plugins or additional configuration required for these features will be included separately in the project quote.
This depends on the system and the integration options it provides. If an API, official connector or compatible plugin is available, we can assess the implementation. Complex ERP or CRM integrations require a separate technical analysis, project stage and budget.
We configure WooCommerce tax settings based on your company status, target market and the information you provide. Prices can be displayed with or without VAT, and different rules can be applied to specific product categories, locations or customer types. Tax settings are implemented according to your instructions and do not replace professional accounting or tax advice.
The package includes basic templates for terms and conditions, privacy information, cookies and returns. For Romanian stores, we can also configure the standard consumer-protection information required for the website. Businesses operating in other countries should confirm their local requirements with a qualified legal adviser. The templates and technical setup do not replace legal advice.
Abandoned cart recovery is not included as standard in the basic package. It can be added separately using an appropriate WooCommerce extension or email marketing platform, allowing automated reminders to be sent to customers who begin an order but do not complete it.
We build the store with mobile performance in mind, using optimized images, a clear structure, caching and Cloudflare where appropriate. Final loading speed also depends on the hosting plan, catalog size, installed plugins, third-party integrations and the content added to the website.
Shopify can be a suitable option for some businesses. WooCommerce generally provides greater control over the website, more flexibility for custom development and access to the wider WordPress ecosystem. The right platform depends on your products, budget, required integrations, internal workflow and long-term growth plans.
